Meet My Extended Family

Debbie is a true “Dog Lover,” as you can tell by her family of adopted dogs.
There are plenty of special dogs and cats at the Humane Society waiting for a loving home! Check out the Yavapai Humane Society today!!!!
If you haven’t already heard of the Circle L Ranch in Prescott Valley AZ, click on the following link: circlel.org. They are an awesome organization that rescues and places dogs as well as other animals in their forever homes.

I adopted Lucy 3 years ago from Circle Ranch in Prescott Valley. She is still the baby girl of the family. She is approximately 6 yrs old. She came from Rocky Point, Mexico and rumor has it, that she lived on the streets. She weighs in at 12 lbs soaking wet. She loved Roxy who was her surrogate “Mommy.” Lucy is the sweetest little thing ever and hysterically funny. She has 2 speeds, 0 and 100. I think she is some kind of rat or fox terrier. “Lucy has some splaining to do!” 🙂

R.I.P. My precious, sweet Roxy went to doggie heaven January 2020. She was 17 years old and weighed 33 lbs. I adopted her from the Humane Society when she was 6 weeks old. She just wanted to get along with everybody and was a love bug to the max! Roxy was Lucy’s adopted Mommie. Roxy was a great dog. She had never been in the dog house. 🙂 She was a smooth tri-colored sheltie mixed with Italian Greyhound, I think. (Sweet & fast)

R.I.P. Billy “Goat” Huff Oct. 2016. Billy went to doggie heaven at age 15 and was down to about 52 lbs. I adopted him from the Human Society in Havasu when he was about 1 1/2 yrs. old. He was an Airdale mix. He was a sweet little boy most of the time. His name was Gus but he looked liked a “Billy Goat” with his cute little beard, so I renamed him “Billy”. Billy was the “Alpha Dog” unless of course he gave in once in awhile which he had been known to do. He liked to keep the others on their toes. Billy had a great life and brought a lot of joy and companionship to his adopted siblings.

R.I.P. My Baby boy, Smokey. July 2016 He was one of the boys. He lived to be 16 yrs. old. Austrailian Shepherd/Blue Merle and weighed 44 lbs. He was my gentle giant. He was still my gentle boy and when old age kicked in he got thinner not weighing so much. I adopted him from the Humane Society in Lake Havasu about 14 years ago . Smokey was the first to join the family of these five. When Smokey came to live with me, I had 3 old Dalmatians so it wasn’t much fun at first for him. But, when Buddy, Freckles and Oreo went to Doggie heaven and the new kids came………Smokey became “The Fun Police”. He loved his job! He was absolutely beautiful, very smart and sweet!

R.I.P. Sweet Pepper, Aug. 2015. Pepper was one of the kids. She lived to 13 years old, a Black Lab/German Shorthair mix and weighed 46 lbs. I adopted her when she was 6 weeks old from the Humane Society. She was the last one of the litter that nobody wanted. Lucky me! She needed me too! She didn’t do puppyhood very well. But she sure did turn into a pretty nice little girl. She was very sweet and needed ALOT of attention. Jealousy overwhelmed her most of the time.

R.I.P. Little Cindy Oct. 2014 ……………………..Cindy was another member of the family. She lived to be 19 yrs old, was a Puggle – Pug/Beagle Mix and weighed only 19 lbs. She was the smallest of the family. I adopted her when she was 9 years ago. She was small but mighty and ruled most of the time. She was always talking about something. She was louder than the other four put together. She loved to play and WIN! Cindy had a good life her last 10 yrs. as she was spoiled rotten, which is the way it should be.
